    http://www.pinkbike.com/news/10-reasons-you-need-to-do-the-pisgah-stage-race-2016.html

IT ALL TAKES PLACE BETWEEN 1200′ AND 5200′ ON SOME OF AMERICA’S BEST TRAILS.

Race individually or as a duo team.
All five days will count for an overall time to crown the top riders.
Awards to top 3 in every category. Leader’s jersey awarded to every category.
Pisgah has 400 miles of dirt open to bicycles with 250 miles being single track.
THIS IS DESIGNED AS A TRUE RACE NOT A TEST OF SURVIVAL.

Pisgah National Forest is well known for its rooty, rocky, often slick terrain (due to the heavy rainfall in a temperate rainforest) and boasts over 400 miles of singletrack and ‘half’ track trails. This backcountry race puts internationally ranked professional mountain bike racers alongside avid community riders at the start line and finds them swapping stories at the finish line.

The weeks’ events include 5 days of racing, a recovery zone with snacks and recovery drinks at the race finish, Leaders’ Awards Ceremony and Happy Hour following each evening with adult beverages, exquisite local catered dinner 6 nights, and a Closing Ceremony Celebration Party including a vendor expo, kids race, silent auction and live music.

This is designed as a true race, not a test of survival. We have fully stocked rest stops, including Medical staff and mechanical assistance, however if you want to send anything extra to the rest stops we will shuttle your items each day.
