Killingworth MTB Trails
Sun 25 January, 2015
At Rocky Trail Entertainment we’re proud to be on the forefront of Australian gravity enduro racing! Three years of running gravity enduro races in NSW and the successful launch of an Australia-wide Gravity Enduro Series last year was a true Rollercoaster.
Finding the right format for the Aussie scene and a solid timing system that’s by now tried and tested was a challenge that was great to tackle with the feedback of a myriad of riders who are extremely passionate about the events. We have also been strongly collaborating with the leading gravity enduro promoter in Victoria, Alpine Gravity, and clubs in every state (and NT is on our list next!) and built up a network of professional and passionate organisations that are embracing the Aussie #enduro scene.
Bringing you a strong series in 2015!
We are confident that we got it down pat by now and look forward to bringing you 5 Rollercoaster #Enduro races next year, including a brand-new location to kick of the series in 2015:
Killingworth here we come!
This is one of the most iconic tracks just outside of Newcastle and we’re excited that the Hunter MTB Club will be hosting us for this event. We are proud to confirm that NSW-MTB is endorsing our series again this year as the official state rounds.
So for Killingworth it will be neutral rides to the starts and timed #enduro stages that will blow. your. mind. (and legs!). That’s what it’s all about!

The trails are located a little south of Newcastle.
Starting at Wakefield Rd, turn at the sign to Killingworth onto The Broadway. Follow The Broadway into Killingworth itself and turn right into The Boulevard (follow the MTB sign on the power pole). The dirt road turnoff to the Killingworth trails is 450m on the left, before you reach the power sub-station. From there follow the road and signs, under the freeway, to the event centre some 1-1.2Km in.
Keep in mind, the road in is un-sealed and will be rough in places. If you don’t feel comfortable driving on this style of road you can always park at The Boulevard and ride in.
