Stromlo Forest Park
Sat 15 August, 2015
The Mountain Bike endurance series that rocks is coming to the Capital!
This event takes you to Stromlo Forest Park, the heart of Canberra’s cycling world. There will be a 10-12km course that features some new trail sections and a lot of crowd favourites too.
Think about making this a weekend away – there is now a 100km+ MTB trail all around Canberra, that passes right through Stromlo Forest Park, it’s called the Bicentennial Trail. The best thing about it – you swing in and out of suburbs and yet you feel so far away and in the middle of the bush when you’re on those awesome, mostly purpuse-built trails. Well worth the trip in combination with the SHIMANO MTB GP on the Saturday!
Compete for four or seven hours solo or ride the awesome course in teams – the choice is yours! Experience a fantastic endurance race and that signature Rocky Trail event atmosphere.
Great for spectators to see the mountain bike racing action up close, the Shimano Mountain Bike GP is also hosting the official JetBlack NSW/ACT Bike Shop Trophy – customers and bike shop staff can ride for a designated bike shop and go into an additional ranking over the entire series. With kids races and music, the event centre will be pumping. – Great skills kids parks are free to use at Stromlo as well, plus a kids playground with cycle paths for the little ones!
Entries are closed.
