Pan Pac Eskdale MTB Park is the premier spot to ride, on the Eastern side of the North Island, NZ, that is built & maintained by the local Hawkes Bay MTB Club (largest cycling club in NZ, with approx. 2000 members).

A privately owned forest that wraps around the Pan Pac pulp+paper/logging mill and an emergency power station, located just north of Napier on SH2/SH5.

There is more than 90km of MTB trails plus over 40km of forestry roads, spread thru 1300ha of pine forest to ride in; with another 850ha block currently under development just for the downhillers

There are trails for all types of riders, and plenty for all abilities from beginner to the professionals (HBMTBC have 2x pro DH’ers who call Pan Pac Eskdale MTB Park “home”)

The trails are typically more technical/rooty than some bike parks, yet most have good flow & give plenty of entertainment to all.

Permit required for access – see for more info.
