A great riding location suitable for bikers of all ages. There is a 6km fire road loop around the reserve but the main attraction is a 13km track used for the annual 6hr race. Mostly single track it’s very popular with the locals, expertly maintained by the club and clearly marked.

Two main climbs with a couple of short pinches in between, Strava puts the elevation gain around 230 metres per lap but the fun downhill sections definitely make the climbing worthwhile. Not an overly technical course, just up the velocity to increase the challenge but beware there are a lot of trees close to the trail that can punish high speed handling mistakes.

Native bush land surrounds mean wildlife abounds with plenty of kangaroos, wallabies, lizards & bird life to enjoy, but also keep a look out for snakes over summer. Check out http://www.mtbwagga.asn.au for a great PDF map of the course and more info on mountain biking around Wagga.

Finding the Trail Head

Flow Nation

Well signposted and easy-peasy to find, the trailhead is just near the Wagga City Golf Club. Where the Olympic Way hits the western outskirts of town, turn north on to McNickle Rd, then after 20 metres turn left over small bridge crossing the storm water drain. This puts you on Bagley Drv, follow this for 500 metres then instead of turning right into the golf club car park follow the dirt road going straight ahead. After approx 50 metres you will reach the trailhead car park. Unpack your bike and get riding!
