While mountain biking is at our core, we cover all kinds of riding—gravel, e-MTBs, bikepacking, and anything in between. Whether it’s a deep dive into the latest gear, an in-depth bike review, a guide to an emerging riding destination, discussing major topics or a compelling interview, we aim to inform, inspire, and support the cycling community.
Flow is more than just a website. We are a media platform, a social channel, and a newsletter—covering the latest in bikes, gear, and riding destinations through in-depth reviews, videos, and features. You’ll find us at major events, out on the trails, and across digital platforms, keeping riders connected.
We deliver clear, independent content to inspire, entertain, and help riders make informed choices.
Our team explore and document riding destinations, from local trails to world-class riding locations.
We review mountain bikes, gravel bikes, e-MTBs, and cycling gear, testing them in real conditions and cutting through the marketing fluff.
We break down bike design, suspension, and components, explaining how to make the most of them, what matters and why.
We talk to the industry, designers, trail builders, and pro riders, bringing it all to our audience.
From community trail projects to the role of bikes in everyday life, we enjoy showcasing how cycling fits into our world.
We showcase what’s coming up, and you’ll find us at races, trail openings, product launches, and industry events, sharing what’s happening out there.
Flow Mountain Bike is built by a team of riders, writers, photographers, and filmmakers who are deeeeeeeeply embedded in the cycling community. We ride, test, travel, document, and work as a team on content and projects that matter to riders, always with a focus on relatable experiences and fun insights.
At the core of Flow is a dedicated permanent team, but we don’t do it alone. We work with a large network of freelancers, contributors, and specialist experts who help bring our content to life. Whether they are photographers capturing the action at an event, writers covering new destinations, or videographers producing compelling stories, this extended team ensures Flow remains at the forefront of cycling media.
Flow Mountain Bike is based in Australia but is not tied to one place. Our team is spread out and constantly on the move, riding, testing, and reporting from trails, events, and industry launches around the world.
Beyond our core team, Flow relies on a vast network of contributors, freelancers, and industry experts who help shape our content and keep things rolling. These specialists bring their expertise to major projects, ensuring we cover the breadth of the cycling world with depth and authenticity.
Whether it’s photographers capturing new riding spots, editors creating epic videos, guest writers diving into niche topics, or sharing stories behind the scenes, this network allows us to scale up when needed and bring a diverse range of voices to Flow.
Flow Mountain Bike is committed to independent, informed, and experience-driven content. We don’t just rewrite press releases or recycle industry news—we test, research, and report from firsthand experiences to ensure riders get information they can trust.
Every bike, product, and piece of gear we review has been ridden and tested in real conditions. We push bikes through different terrain, weather, and riding styles to understand how they actually perform.
We’re upfront about how we get products and how we review them. Some products are provided by brands, and some we buy ourselves, but every review is written with full editorial independence.
We work with brands, event organisers, and industry figures to stay informed, but we don’t let commercial relationships dictate what we write. If a product is good, we’ll say so. If it’s not, we’ll say that too.
We don’t inflate our language or use buzzwords just to sell a product. We aim to provide useful, honest insights that help riders make informed choices.
Whether it’s a new bike launch, a big race, or a deep dive into bike tech, we’re on the ground covering it first-hand.
Our goal is to help riders make better decisions, discover new places to ride, and understand the gear they’re using. That means putting in the time—on the trail, in the workshop, and behind the scenes—to produce content that is useful, engaging, and real.
Flow Mountain Bike is free to access and remains independent from major influences, thanks to a carefully balanced business model. We fund our work through a mix of:
