The ultra-steep seat angle creates an efficient position, which, combined with a respectably lightweight, makes it a great climber. But it’s no slouch on the way back down, either. It’s confident charging down tight, steep, and technical trails, and the short travel suspension platform gives it a stout, responsive feel that makes it a ball of fun to whip around on open, flowy trails.

The bike that’s just rolled out of Santa’s Workshop that will land under one lucky Flow reader’s tree is a Merida One-Forty 700. With an alloy frame, a Rock Shox Deluxe Select + delivers 140mm of rear travel, which matches a 150mm Marzocchi Z1 fork at the front.
Sporting a Shimano SLX drivetrain and four-pot brakes, this thing is primed and ready for bike park laps this summer.
