Best known for its bike care products, UK outfit Muc-Off has been progressively inflating its range of non-lube or cleaning-based kit, and the latest comes in the form of a 155mm long mini pump. At this size, the AirMach Mini Pump fits easily in a pocket, in-frame storage, saddle bag or accessory mount — call it your pocket-sized pannier-packing-pump partner.
Whilst it’s not going to pump up your thick tyres in a hurry, it’ll certainly get you out of trouble on the trails.

- Size (mm) – 155.4
- Weight – 97g (including holster) (78g according to Muc-Off)
- Price – $64.99
Like most pumps of this size, the AirMach Mini Pump gives you a good workout to get to your desired pressure, but then again, it isn’t supposed to be a replacement for a track pump. To its credit, the action is smooth and easy despite its short barrel.
The pump itself is sleek and has a machined aluminium barrel. It also includes knurled edges on the handle and barrel, which is a nice touch while adding a degree of purchase — you’ll need it if you’re airing up those tyres in the rain on the side of a trail.
The CNC-machined reversible valve head is practical, playing nice with both Presta and Schrader eqipment. The screw-on function adds an extra level of security, and the extended hose will help to prevent the dreaded snapped valve during vigorous pumping. It’s worth noting that not all Presta valves are threaded, so if you find yourself in this position, you’ll need to switch them over or purchase an adapter.
Muc-Off claims to have a volume per stroke rating of 32.21cc and a max pressure of 110psi. What does this mean in the real world, you ask? You definitely won’t be breaking any records pumping up your tyres, but also won’t need to walk home.
