Pearl Izumi, the plush apparel guys with the weird name are big in Japan, huge in The States, and is now growing in presence on our shores with new kit like what we see here.
Shimano Australia are ramping it up for 2015 with their distribution of Pearl Izumi. What caught our eye from the new range was a couple pairs of shoes using BOA dials and some new styling loose fitting kit. Check it out.

Uses two Boa reel dials for closure. All for a big $399.Two Boa reel dials and a specific amount of flex engineered into the carbon sole to help walking.The X-Project 2.0 shoe for $329 scores a bit more cushion in the sole for comfort and a velcro/Boa enclosure.Pearl Izumi soles are all about the right amount of flex up at the toe for walking, without compromising the stiffness need for pedal efficiency.Cheers, Shimano folks.
