Kyle Strait partners with mountain bike apparel brand, DHaRCO, for 2018.
For a relatively small Aussie brand, partnering with Kyle Strait seems a bit surreal. He’s one of our idols. Getting to know him and what makes him tick has been a great insight into why he’s such an amazing rider. He’s a genuine nice guy, loves bikes and digging in his backyard. It truly is an honor to welcome Kyle to the DHaRCO Collective ~ DHaRCO Crew
I am so pumped to sign with DHaRCO for this season and many more. The passion behind the DHaRCO brand shows big in their creative design and commitment to innovate the best gear for the rider. The lifestyle look fits perfectly with the California vibe. I am really looking forward to seeing them grow in North America and beyond. ~ Kyle Strait
Stay tuned to see a bit of the local Aussie mountain bike scene when Kyle visits the DHaRCO crew end of March in Australia. They’ll be working on some edits of Kyle on the Sydney trails, beaches and might even find time to sneak in some fishing – oh and find him a few senders too.
Kyle needs no introduction but to get the low down, in 2004 he won his first Red Bull Rampage title at only 17 years of age. In 2013 he went on to win it again and became the first athlete to win Red Bull Rampage twice. He’s a true legend of freeride and the only athlete to have competed in all Rampage events to date, starting back in 2001. He’s been pushing the limits of the sport, and it’s been amazing to see the progress and results of that today.
This season Kyle is planning to compete in the International Crankworx series, starting off with Rotorua, Sea Otter Classic, some select FEST series events and of course, Red Bull Rampage.
More than that, Kyle is also involved in his local bike community coaching clinics for both adults and kids across the US. He’s also fulfilling a childhood dream (of many of us!) and building epic trails on his property ‘Strait Acres’.
DHaRCO opened a US office last year, so it’s a great time to partner with a US ambassador and all-round legend such as Kyle Strait. If you’re looking for the gear in the US, DHaRCO will be working with a number of retailers in 2018 – such as EVO and Fanatik. The new season will be dropping in stores April 2018.
DHaRCO was born from people who love riding bikes and wanted to look and feel good doing it. They believe amazing fabric, a great fit and common sense technical features makes for great bike clothing. They use simple, functional lines and allow MTB clothing to be influenced by street/surf wear. So you feel more like you are wearing normal clothes, yet highly technical. They make it simple, comfortable and focus on what they really want in a garment as riders.
The mountain bike clothing brand comes from the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Their roots mean they are inspired every day by Australian surf culture, and this is reflected in the style and design of the gear.
The company motto “no ordinary life” comes from the belief that mountain biking creates an amazing lifestyle. Whomever you are in the day to day world, when you get on the bike life is just awesome. Any stress of the day is gone. Biking gives you a sense of freedom, adrenaline, good times with mates. Not to mention the amazing places we explore, the people and the respect for nature that it creates.
#noordinarylife
DHaRCO source performance fabrics where the “performance element” is built into the yarns of the fabric, not a chemical applied afterwards. This gives superior quick drying and moisture wicking performance and also means it won’t wash or wear out and it is also more eco-friendly. They also use mostly recycled materials in their garments, and we like that!
