Us

The Whyte T129 line up has plenty of accolades to its name already, but that’s not why we’re looking forward to riding this bike.
Whyte T129s full bike
Nope, it’s the geometry that’s got us excited. With chain stays just 431mm long and a head angle of 68-degrees, the geometry of this bike is not like most 29er trail bikes. Whyte bikes are always angry little buggers, with geometry that rewards aggressive riding, and we’re very happy they’ve managed to lever those same signature geometry traits into a 29er package.
We’ll be onboard the T129 express a lot these coming weeks. Full report to follow soon.

Them

■ Our Quad 4 suspension layout allows us to apply our contemporary 29er Trail hardtail geometry to the 120mm suspension Trail bike category. Short chainstays gives this bike the agility of a 650b/27.5” wheel bike but with the inertia and terrain flattening advantages of a larger 29er wheel.
■ Reverb Stealth seat post, WTB TCS tubeless-ready tyres and rims and Whyte’s all new cockpit finishing with ultra-wide 750mm bars and gravity short stem are just a few of the standout spec of the T-129 S.
■ Speed and flow is the name of the game with the T129 range. Keep off the brakes as long as you dare, tip the bike in as hard as you can and try and work out how you have tamed your favourite single track so fast.
Spec highlights: RockShox Reba fork, Reverb Stealth seatpost / WTB TCS (tubeless ready) rims and tyres / SRAM X-9 / Avid Elixir 5 Matchmaker set up.
